INSTALLATION GUIDE

Required Tools

Phillips Screwdriver
10mm Socket & Ratchet
Plastic Trim Removal Tool
Flathead Screwdriver

Part 1: Outer Tail Lights

Step 1: Open Tailgate & Locate Screws

Open the rear tailgate. Locate and remove the two Phillips head screws securing the outer tail light assembly to the body.

Step 2: Remove Outer Light Assembly
Gently pull the tail light assembly sideways (away from the vehicle) to release the side clips. Do not pull straight back, as this may damage the alignment pins.

Step 3: Disconnect & Install

Disconnect the factory wiring harness. Connect your new PrismBeam LED tail light plug directly into the factory socket. Align the guide pins and push the new assembly back into place.
Remove the factory bulb from the socket. Insert the plug of the new LED tail light directly into the empty factory bulb socket. Ensure it fits securely.

Part 2: Inner Tail Lights

Step 4: Remove Access Cover

On the inside of the upper tailgate, use a trim tool to pop off the small plastic access cover to reveal the tail light mounting nuts.

Step 5: Remove Mounting Nuts

Use a 10mm socket to remove the nuts securing the inner tail light. Be careful not to drop the nuts inside the tailgate structure.

Step 6: Swap the Lights

Pull the old light housing off the tailgate. Clean the mounting surface. Install the new LED inner light, ensuring the weather gasket seals tightly against the vehicle.
Important: Check the Gasket

Connect the new inner light harness to the factory plug. Tuck the wires neatly into the cavity to prevent them from being pinched when tightening the nuts.

Step 7: Reassemble

Tighten the 10mm nuts from the inside. Reinstall the plastic access cover. Close the tailgate and test all light functions (Brake, Reverse, Turn Signals).

Common Issues & Solutions

1. Tail light does not turn on after installation

Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.

If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.

2. Swap test

If the tail light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right tail lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.

3. Condensation inside the tail light

Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the tail light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.

This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the tail light.
