2006-2012 Lexus IS200/250/300 Headlights
Installation Guide
Required Tools:
- Plastic Pry Tool
- 10mm Socket/Wrench
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 8mm Socket

Step 1: Open the Hood and Remove Plastic Molding
Open the hood and use a pry tool to remove all plastic clips holding the front molding. Remove the molding.

Step 2: Remove Top Bumper Bolts
Unscrew the Phillips screws under the rubber grommets on both sides and remove the center 10mm bolt.

Step 3: Remove Wheel Well Clips and Bolts
Remove the clips along the edge of the wheel well. Pull back the liner to access and remove the hidden 10mm bolt.

Step 4: Disconnect the Battery
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before handling electrical plugs to prevent shorts or blown fuses.

Step 5: Remove Bumper and Disconnect Fog Lights
Gently pull the bumper sides outwards. Disconnect the fog light harnesses before completely removing the bumper.

Step 6: Remove the Old Headlights
Unscrew the three 10mm bolts securing the headlight. Press the clip on the main harness to unplug it.

Step 7: Install New Headlights and Connect Harnesses
Plug the new headlight into the factory harness. Slide the unit into place and re-tighten the three bolts.

Step 8: Connect DRL Fuse Tap Wiring
For DRL functionality, route the included red wire across the engine bay. Open the fuse box and insert the fuse tap into the designated ACC slot.

Step 9: Test and Reassemble
Reconnect the battery. Test the high/low beams, turn signals, and DRL. Once confirmed, reinstall the bumper and molding in reverse order.

Step 10: Adjust Beam Height
If the beams are misaligned, use an 8mm socket to turn the adjustment nut on the back (clockwise to lower, counter-clockwise to raise).

Common Issues & Solutions
1. Light does not turn on after installation
Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.
If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.
2. Swap test
If the light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.
3. Condensation inside the light
Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.
This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the light.
