INSTALLATION GUIDE
REQUIRED TOOLS
- TRIM REMOVAL TOOL
- RATCHET
- 8MM SOCKET
- 10MM SOCKET
- WIRE SNAKE(FOR OPTIONAL BOOST BAR INSTALLATION)

1. Open the car's trunk lid.
2. Remove the trunk mat and carpet. You can also remove the spare tire cover, or simply slide it aside.
3. Remove the two securing straps from the rear door panel by first prying open the middle/top section and then pulling out the straps.
4. Starting from the middle of the vehicle, pull up the sealing strip above the edge of the inner panel of the trunk lid.
5. Pry open the trunk lid light located on the rear interior trim panel and disconnect the wiring harness of the light assembly. Set the light assembly aside and tuck the wiring harness back behind the panel.

6. Pull the rear scuff plate upwards firmly to release the clips securing it to the vehicle. Remove the scuff plate and set it aside.
7. Remove the securing straps from the side panel.
8. Pry up the center of the plastic clip from the rear edge of the side panel, then pry out the clip body to remove it.
9. After removing the clip, pry open the trunk forcefully to release the retaining clips. Remove the panel from the vehicle and set it aside.
10. Remove the 8mm nut from the recess behind the taillight.
11. Pry up the trim panel above the taillights and remove it. Set it aside after removal.
12. After removing the trim strip, remove the two 10mm bolts that secure the taillights to the vehicle body.
13. After removing the taillight mounting bracket, pull the taillights straight back to remove them from the vehicle.
14. After removing the taillight from the vehicle, go around to the back of the taillight, press the latch on the connector, unplug the connector, and disconnect the taillight wiring harness from the assembly.
15. Repeat steps 7-14 on the other side of the vehicle.
Taillight Installation
16. Place one of the magnetic resistors in the cavity between the vehicle body and the rear bumper cover, as shown in the diagram below.
(WARNING: Resistors get extremely HOT. Mount them to a metal surface away from wires or plastic to prevent melting)
17. Lift the new taillight assembly onto the vehicle and connect the taillight wiring harness and the resistor.
18. Push the taillight assembly into the taillight recess of the vehicle, being careful not to squeeze or jam the wires. Reinstall the two 10mm bolts that secure the taillight to the vehicle.
19. When installing the taillights, you can place the mode switch wires in the gap shown in the image below so that you can still easily change them later.
20. Repeat steps 16-19 on the other side of the car.
21. Enter the vehicle and confirm that all functions are working properly.
22. Reassemble the car in the reverse order of disassembly.
The following section applies ONLY to RGB Models. If you purchased the standard version, your installation is complete.

RGB / App Connectivity Issues
If you are experiencing connection or control issues with the RGB app, please check the following:
Phone Settings & Power: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned ON. Ensure Location Services (GPS) are turned ON (required for Bluetooth scanning on Android).
Important: The vehicle's Running Lights (Parking Lights) must be turned ON to power the Bluetooth module.
Signal Interference: Make sure there are no other strong signal sources inside or near the vehicle that could interfere with the connection.

App Installation & Troubleshooting:
1. Remote Control Pairing:
The remote control comes pre-paired with the lamp. It allows a one-key switch to "Red Light Driving Mode" (static red, no flow animation).
To Re-pair: If the remote does not work, press the brake pedal and hold the remote control button for 10 seconds to complete the pairing.
2. Animation Control:
The RGB lamps allow you to control the running light animations via the APP. (Note: The startup animation is preset and cannot be adjusted.)
3. APP Download:
Search for "LightRunning" (or "Star Light Running") in the App Store/Google Play Store, or scan the QR code on the controller box to download.
4. Bluetooth Connection:
Open the App, click Add Device (Figure 2), enter the Interface (Figure 3), and select the nearby device to complete the Bluetooth connection.
5. How to Adjust Modes:
5.1 Dynamic Mode: The number in the center of the blue box indicates the current mode. Click + or - to switch between different dynamic effects. Click AUTO to cycle through all modes automatically.
5.2 Static Color Mode: Drag the color wheel in the green box interface, or click the preset color buttons to switch to a static, solid color. This will immediately interrupt any playing animation.
5.3 Brightness Adjustment: Drag the slider in the first row of the red box to adjust the brightness.
5.4 Speed Adjustment: Drag the slider in the last row of the red box to change the speed of the animation.
Pro Tip: If you previously used the "Light Running" app and are having connectivity issues, please try downloading "Star Light Running". This is the upgraded version of the App.
Synchronization Check:
Most RGB kits use a physical wire to sync the left and right lights. If you can only control one side via the App, please check the Sync Signal Wire connecting the two lights to ensure it is plugged in securely.
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Tail light does not turn on after installation
Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.
If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.
2. Swap test
If the tail light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right tail lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.
3. Condensation inside the tail light
Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the tail light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.
This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the tail light.
