Nissan GTR R35 2008-2023
INSTALLATION GUIDE
Tools Required for Installation:
l Ratchet with Extension Bar
l Sockets: 8mm, 10mm, 12mm
l Plastic Trim Removal Tool
l Painter's Tape (Masking Tape)
l Phillips Screwdriver
Clean Microfiber Towel (Optional, to place parts on)
Part 1: Uninstall Factory Tail Lights
Step 1: Remove Trunk Trim
Open the trunk and locate the trim panel. Use a trim removal tool to pop out the 4 large clips and unscrew the single small knob by hand. Carefully lift out the foam organizer tray to reveal the chassis metal.
Step 2: Remove Mounting Nuts (Left Side)
On the driver's side, locate the 5 mounting points. Use an 8mm socket to remove the 3 nuts securing the tail lights housing and the 2 nuts securing the upper bumper edge.
Step 3: Remove Mounting Nuts (Right Side)
Repeat Step 2 on the passenger side. Once the nuts are removed, locate the factory wiring harness connected to the tail lights and unplug the connector.
Step 4: Loosen Rear Diffuser
Go underneath the rear bumper. Remove the 10mm and 12mm bolts that secure the rear diffuser/undertray. This is crucial to allow the bumper to flex in the next steps.
Step 5: Loosen Wheel Well Screws
Locate the screw at the corner of the bumper inside the wheel well. Peel back the fender liner slightly to reveal a hidden bolt attaching the bumper to the fender. Remove both to free the bumper corner.
Step 6: "The Shortcut" - Tilt the Bumper
Important: Apply masking tape to the fender and bumper edges to prevent paint damage. Gently pull the bumper corner outward to unsnap it, then push it downward to create a gap large enough to slide the tail lights out.
Step 7: Remove Factory Taillight
Carefully slide the factory tail lights assembly out of the housing.
Note: Be extremely gentle with the internal white bracket shown below. It must clear the bumper edge before pulling the light out.

Set the factory light aside
Part 2: Install New Tail Lights
Step 8: Connect & Install
Connect the plug from your new PrismBeam tail lights to the factory harness. Organize the wires neatly, then carefully slide the new assembly into position. Ensure the rubber weather stripping seals properly against the body.
(Tip: Tuck the resistor and harness connectors deep into the body cavity so they don't block the new housing from sitting flush.)
Step 9: Reassemble
Push the bumper corners back until they click into place. Reinstall all bolts, nuts, and clips in reverse order (Wheel well -> Diffuser -> Trunk nuts -> Trim). Test all light functions (Turn, Brake, Reverse) before driving.

The following section applies ONLY to RGB Models. If you purchased the standard version, your installation is complete.
Note: If the lights do not illuminate after installation, please see the last page:

RGB / App Connectivity Issues
If you are experiencing connection or control issues with the RGB app, please check the following:
Phone Settings & Power: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned ON. Ensure Location Services (GPS) are turned ON (required for Bluetooth scanning on Android).
Important: The vehicle's Running Lights (Parking Lights) must be turned ON to power the Bluetooth module.
Signal Interference: Make sure there are no other strong signal sources inside or near the vehicle that could interfere with the connection.

App Installation & Troubleshooting:
1. Remote Control Pairing:
The remote control comes pre-paired with the lamp. It allows a one-key switch to "Red Light Driving Mode" (static red, no flow animation).
To Re-pair: If the remote does not work, press the brake pedal and hold the remote control button for 10 seconds to complete the pairing.
2. Animation Control:
The RGB lamps allow you to control the running light animations via the APP. (Note: The startup animation is preset and cannot be adjusted.)
3. APP Download:
Search for "LightRunning" (or "Star Light Running") in the App Store/Google Play Store, or scan the QR code on the controller box to download.
4. Bluetooth Connection:
Open the App, click Add Device (Figure 2), enter the Interface (Figure 3), and select the nearby device to complete the Bluetooth connection.
5. How to Adjust Modes:
5.1 Dynamic Mode: The number in the center of the blue box indicates the current mode. Click + or - to switch between different dynamic effects. Click AUTO to cycle through all modes automatically.
5.2 Static Color Mode: Drag the color wheel in the green box interface, or click the preset color buttons to switch to a static, solid color. This will immediately interrupt any playing animation.
5.3 Brightness Adjustment: Drag the slider in the first row of the red box to adjust the brightness.
5.4 Speed Adjustment: Drag the slider in the last row of the red box to change the speed of the animation.
Pro Tip: If you previously used the "Light Running" app and are having connectivity issues, please try downloading "Star Light Running". This is the upgraded version of the App.
Synchronization Check:
Most RGB kits use a physical wire to sync the left and right lights. If you can only control one side via the App, please check the Sync Signal Wire connecting the two lights to ensure it is plugged in securely.
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Tail light does not turn on after installation
Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.
If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.
2. Swap test
If the tail light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right tail lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.
3. Condensation inside the tail light
Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the tail light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.
This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the tail light.
