Installation Guide

Required Tools:

  • Plastic Trim Removal Tool

  • 7mm, 8mm, 10mm Sockets & Ratchet

  • Extension Bar

  • Painter's Tape

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Step 1: Open the Hood and Protect the Edges

  • Instruction: Pop the hood open. Apply painter's tape along the seams where the front bumper meets the fenders and headlights to prevent scratches.

  • Warning / Tip: The paint edges are highly vulnerable when pulling the bumper off. Do not skip the tape.

Step 2: Remove the Upper Radiator Cover

  • Instruction: Use a plastic trim removal tool to pry up and remove the push clips holding the upper radiator shroud, then lift the shroud off.

Step 3: Remove Screws of the Top Bumper

  • Instruction: Use a socket wrench to remove screws from the outer corners and the middle of the upper bumper.

Step 4: Remove Fender Liner Push Clips

  • Instruction: Inside the front wheel well, use the trim tool to remove the plastic push clips and disconnect the connector. (Repeat on the other side).

Step 5: Take Off the Bolts on the Bottom

  • Instruction: After completing the top hardware, reach down and remove the remaining bolts securing the bottom brackets of the headlight housing.

Step 6: Remove the Front Bumper

  • Instruction: Carefully pull the front bumper forward away from the vehicle frame and remove it from the car.

Step 7: Unlock the Three Headlight Retaining Spots and Unplug the Harness

  • Instruction: Focus on the three (3) retaining spots/clips on the headlight housing. Release them to loosen the headlight from the frame, then pull it forward and unplug the main wiring harness connector.

Step 8: Plug the Harness into the New Headlight

  • Instruction: Take the factory vehicle wiring plug and connect it directly into the receptacle on the back of your new PrismBeam LED headlight until it clicks into place.

Step 9: Mount the New Headlight and Secure the Bolts

  • Instruction: Align the new headlight housing with the factory slots, slide it into the vehicle frame, and reinstall the mounting bolts to secure it in place.

  • Warning / Tip: Ensure the headlight housing seats perfectly flat against the factory bracket alignment pins before driving the screws home.

Step 10: Test All Headlight Functions Before Reassembly

  • Instruction: Use the key fob or start the vehicle to test and verify all functions—including the sequential DRL animation, turn signals, and low/high beams—are working flawlessly.

  • Warning / Tip: Do not put the front bumper back on until you are 100% sure all light modes operate correctly.

Common Issues & Solutions

1. Light does not turn on after installation

Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.

If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.

2. Swap test

If the light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.

3. Condensation inside the light

Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.

This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the light.
