Required Tools
- T25 Torx driver
- Ratchet

Step 1: Remove the Mounting Bolts
Open the tailgate. Find the two mounting bolts on the side of the tail light and remove them with a T25 Torx driver.

Step 2: Remove the Tail Light Assembly
Grasp the tail light and pull it straight back to release it from the retaining clips.

Step 3: Disconnect and Connect the Harness
Press the locking tab to unplug the factory harness. Then connect the vehicle's power plug directly into the new tail light socket until it clicks.

Step 4: Line Up the Guide Pins
Before pushing in the new light, line up the guide pins on the back of the tail light with the mounting holes on the body.

Step 5: Install the Light
Push the tail light firmly into place so it sits flush with the body, with no gaps.

Step 6: Tighten the Bolts and Test
Reinstall and tighten the two T25 mounting bolts. Close the tailgate and test the brake, turn, and reverse lights.

Common Issues and Solutions
Tail light does not turn on after installation. Check that the harness connectors are fully seated. Inspect the pins inside each connector; if any are bent, carefully straighten them with a small precision tool and reconnect securely.
Swap test. If a tail light still does not work, swap the left and right units to find out whether the issue is the light itself or the vehicle wiring.
Condensation inside the tail light. Temperature differences can cause light condensation, which is normal. Once the light has been on for a while and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture clears on its own. It does not affect brightness, performance, or lifespan.
