Lexus LX470 1998-2007 Headlights
Installation Guide
Required Tools:
- Plastic Trim Removal Tool
- Phillips Screwdriver
- 10mm Socket Wrench

Step 1: Remove Grille Trim Clips
Open the hood and remove the two plastic clips securing the center grille trim piece.

Step 2: Remove Trim Panel Screws
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower trim panel, located on top of the headlight and on the side near the corner light.

Step 3: Remove the Lower Headlight Trim
Carefully pry off the lower headlight trim panel using a trim removal tool. Start from the center and work your way to the sides to release the clips.

Step 4: Remove the Corner Light
Remove the screw securing the top of the corner light assembly. Pull the light straight forward to detach it from the vehicle.

Step 5: Remove the Side Bracket
Once the corner light is removed, unscrew and remove the white plastic bracket underneath to access the side headlight bolt.

Step 6: Unbolt the Headlight Assembly
Unbolt the Headlight Assembly: Use a 10mm socket to remove the four bolts (circled in red). Two are on top, one is on the inner side, and one is hidden at the bottom front.

Note: If your model requires extra DRL wiring, connect the provided ACC harness to the fuse box.
Step 7: Disconnect Wiring and Remove Headlight
Once all bolts are removed, pull the headlight assembly forward. Carefully unplug the main wiring harness and high/low beam connectors from the back of the housing.

Step 8: Connect New LED Headlight Wiring
Connect the factory plugs into the new LED headlight housing. Our headlights are designed as "Plug-and-Play." Ensure the connectors are clicked in securely to prevent moisture or loose connections.
Step 9: Functional Test before Reassembly
Before re-installing the bolts and trim, turn on the vehicle to test all functions: Low Beam, High Beam, Sequential Turn Signal, and DRL.

Step 10: Reinstall Components in Reverse Order
Slide the new headlight into place and secure it with the 4 bolts (Step 6). Reinstall the side bracket (Step 5), corner light (Step 4), lower trim (Step 3 & 2), and grille clips (Step 1) in reverse order.
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Light does not turn on after installation
Please first check whether the wiring harness connectors are properly connected and fully seated. Inspect the pins inside the connector to ensure none are bent or misaligned.
If any pins are bent, you may carefully straighten them using a paper clip or other small precision tool, then reconnect the plug securely.
2. Swap test
If the light still does not illuminate, try swapping the left and right lights to determine whether the issue is related to the light unit itself or the vehicle wiring.
3. Condensation inside the light
Condensation may occur due to temperature differences, which is a normal physical phenomenon. After the light has been operating for a period of time and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture will naturally dissipate.
This does not affect brightness, performance, or the lifespan of the light.
