Fits: 2008-2015 Toyota Land Cruiser 200.
Check for AFS Before You Remove Anything
This set does not support trucks with the factory AFS adaptive front-lighting system (the headlights that swivel with the steering).
To check: park the truck, start the engine, switch on the low beams and turn the steering wheel lock to lock. If the projectors swivel toward the turn, your truck has AFS and this assembly will not work on it. An AFS OFF button on the dash, or an AFS indicator in the instrument cluster, gives you the same answer without moving the truck.
Do this check first. It takes a minute and it is the difference between a clean install and a set of headlights you cannot use.
Also does not fit the Lexus LX570. It shares the platform but uses a different headlight. And this assembly is for the 2008-2015 pre-facelift front end — the 2016-2021 facelift truck has a different opening.
Adapter Harness Depends on Your Year
- 2008-2012: uses the included adapter harness.
- 2013-2015: plugs straight into the factory connector, no adapter needed.
These steps cover both the Light Bar and the Triple U builds. Each has three bi-function projector cups per side, a white daytime running light, a sequential turn signal and a startup animation, and both install the same way.

Before You Start
- Run the AFS check above, and confirm which wiring case your year falls into, before removing anything.
- Park on level ground, switch off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal while handling wiring.
- Tape the painted edges around the grille, bumper cover and fender before removal.
- Work one side at a time so the other lamp stays as a reference.
- Do not put dielectric or weather-sealing grease on connectors or sockets.
Required Tools
- Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
- Metric socket and ratchet set
- Phillips screwdriver
- Clean microfiber towels and masking tape
- Zip ties for securing the adapter harness
- A wall or flat vertical surface for checking beam aim
Part 1: Remove the Factory Headlights
Step 1: Open Up the Front
Release the grille and the upper bumper cover fasteners far enough to reach the headlight retaining bolts. Keep the clips as you go; they are reused.
Step 2: Unbolt the Headlight
Support the lamp as the last fastener comes out, and keep the hardware separated by side.
Step 3: Disconnect the Wiring
Press the lock tab and pull on the connector body, not on the wires.
Step 4: Compare Before Fitting
Hold the new lamp against the original and confirm the mounting tabs and plug position match the wiring case for your year.
Part 2: Install the New Headlights
Step 5: Connect
On a 2008-2012 truck, fit the included adapter harness between the vehicle plug and the lamp. On a 2013-2015 truck, connect directly. Confirm every plug is seated and locked.
Step 6: Test Before Closing Up
With the lamp still loose, confirm low beam, high beam, the white daytime running light, the sequential turn signal and the startup animation.
Step 7: Seat and Bolt the Lamp
Check the gap against the fender, hood and grille opening before tightening. Do not overtighten plastic mounts.
Step 8: Secure and Reassemble
Zip-tie any adapter harness away from heat, moving parts, water paths and sharp edges. Refit the bumper cover and grille, do the other side, then reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Step 9: Check the Beam Aim
Park square to a flat vertical surface and confirm the cutoff line sits level and at the same height on both sides.
Common Issues and Solutions
A warning appears, or a beam function behaves oddly. Go back to the AFS check at the top. A truck with factory AFS is not compatible with this set.
One headlight does not light. On a 2008-2012 truck, recheck the adapter harness at both ends. Then check the related fuse and the battery connection.
The lamp will not sit flush. Check for a trapped harness behind the housing rather than forcing the bolts.
Condensation inside the headlight. Temperature differences can cause light condensation, which is normal. Once the light has been on for a while and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture clears on its own. It does not affect brightness, performance, or lifespan.
