Before you start: Clean the tailgate surface before mounting the light bar. Route wiring away from sharp edges and moving parts.

Step-by-Step

Remove the factory tail lights

Open the tailgate, remove the factory fasteners, unplug the OE harness, and pull the original tail light assemblies out carefully.

Connect the new LED assemblies

Plug the new driver and passenger tail lights into the factory connectors. Do not cut or splice the factory wiring.

Test every function before final mounting

Check running light, brake light, reverse light, and sequential turn signal on both sides before tightening the assemblies.

Install the tailgate light bar

Clean the mounting surface, apply the adhesion promoter, route the wiring, and secure the tailgate light bar with the included clips and plugs.

Seat the housing and verify the seal

Tighten the mounting points evenly, confirm the gasket is fully seated, and recheck all lighting functions.

Important: Verify the seal before driving. After installation, press firmly around the entire perimeter gasket to ensure full contact with the body panel. Any gap can allow water to enter during rain or car washes, leading to condensation inside the housing and voiding your warranty. If you notice fogging after the first wash, remove the light and reseat the gasket immediately.
