Overview
For the 2012-2019 Volkswagen Beetle A5/PQ35 with factory halogen headlights, this projector headlight set with LED daytime running lights upgrades visibility and styling while keeping a clean factory-style fit.
Factory halogen cars only — bulbs not included. These assemblies are supplied as housings: fit your own H7 halogen bulbs, or an HID kit, for low and high beam, so budget for them on top of the set. Beetles built with factory Xenon and AFS adaptive lighting use a different interface and are not compatible — AFS steers the beam with the steering wheel, so it is usually obvious from the driver's seat if you have it.

What makes PrismBeam halogen projector headlights different from stock headlights?
The factory housing uses a reflector bowl that scatters light. These put a shielded projector optic in front of the halogen source, so the beam lands as a controlled pattern with a defined cutoff, while the daytime running light, turn signal and side marker are LED. Which bulbs are included for your model is listed in the Overview.
Are these headlights easy to install? Do they require modifications?
Yes — they are plug-and-play with your factory connectors. No cutting or splicing.
Will I get error codes or hyperflash?
CANbus decoders are built in on most vehicles, so you should not see dash errors or hyperflash. If your vehicle does, contact us with a short video.
Will these headlights fog or form condensation?
Some light condensation after temperature changes or rain is normal. The sealed housing and pressure-equalizing vent let moisture clear on its own, usually within a few hours of use.
Are these headlights road legal?
They are DOT/SAE compliant, with a beam pattern built for U.S. roads that does not throw excessive glare at oncoming drivers.
