Fits: 2021-2023 Ford F-150 (14th generation, P702 platform).
Read This Before You Order or Remove Anything
On this truck the variable is not the lens style — it is the blind-spot hardware. PrismBeam offers two builds for this truck and they are not interchangeable:
- Triple Edge Smoked Red (Non-BLIS Only) — for XL/XLT base trucks with stock halogen lamps and no BLIS. Includes the halogen adapter harness.
- Smoked Red (high-trim version) — BLIS-compatible, for Platinum, King Ranch, Limited and Raptor trucks with factory OEM LED lamps. Requires transferring the factory blind-spot module during installation.
Two hard stops before you buy:
- Onboard Scales. Open the center display, go to Features, and look for Onboard Scales. If your truck has that option, neither build fits. Stop and contact support before removing anything.
- Tail Lamp Heat is not supported on either build. Confirm your truck's equipment first.

Before You Start
- Park on level ground, switch off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal while handling wiring.
- Use masking tape along the painted bedside — the lamp has to slide past it.
- Do not put dielectric or weather-sealing grease on connectors or sockets.
- If your truck has BLIS, handle the factory module gently and never pull or twist its connector.
Required Tools
- Metric socket and ratchet set
- Phillips screwdriver for the module screws
- Masking tape and clean microfiber towels
- A protected surface to lay the factory lamp on, rear housing facing up
- A helper for brake light and reverse light testing
Part 1: Remove the Factory Tail Lights
Step 1: Remove the Retainers
Remove the factory tail light fasteners at the bedside, supporting the lamp so it does not drag across the paint.

Step 2: Pull the Lamp Out and Unplug It
Hold the lamp firmly and pull it straight rearward to release the locating pins. Support the housing as it comes free, then disconnect the factory connector — by the connector body, never the wires.

Part 2: Identify Which Build You Have
Now turn the factory lamp over and look at the back. This is what tells you which set of steps to follow.
Non-BLIS (Base Halogen)
No blind-spot module on the back of the lamp. The main connector carries ground, reverse positive, turn positive, driving positive and brake positive.
Use this as a function-check reference only — it is not permission to cut or repin any wiring.

OEM Mid Version
A BLIS module mounted on the back of the lamp, in the position shown below. Note the module position, the connector location and the surrounding housing layout.

OEM High Version
Also has a BLIS module, but the module position, connector arrangement and rear housing layout are different from the Mid version. Raptor trucks use this version. This is the one the PrismBeam high-trim build replaces.

If Neither Matches
Stop. A rear housing that matches neither the Mid nor the High reference may be an Onboard Scales unit, which none of these builds replace. Contact support with photos before going any further.
Part 3A: Install — Non-BLIS Build
Step 3: Connect the Main Plug
Follow this only if the back of your factory lamp matched the Non-BLIS reference. Connect the main plug on the new tail light to the vehicle-side connector, using the supplied halogen adapter harness.

Part 3B: Install — BLIS-Compatible Build
The blind-spot module is not supplied. It comes off your factory lamp and goes onto the new one.
Step 4: Remove the Module Screws
Lay the factory lamp on a protected surface, rear housing facing up. Remove the four screws holding the module. Keep them — they are what secures the module to the new lamp.

Step 5: Lift the Module Out
Lift it out of the factory lamp. Handle the module and its wiring carefully — do not pull or twist the connector.

Step 6: Transfer It to the New Lamp
Put the new lamp on a clean, soft surface. Peel off the white protective paper covering the module mounting area to expose the location. Fit the module there and secure it with the original four screws. Do not discard or modify any wiring connector.

Part 4: Test and Refit
Step 7: Test Before You Bolt It In
With the lamp still loose, switch the lights on and check:
- Running and parking lights on both sides.
- Brake lights, with a helper on the pedal.
- Left and right turn signals, hazards and the sequential sweep.
- Reverse lights, with the truck safely in reverse and the parking brake on.
- Startup animation, if your build has it.
- On a BLIS truck: confirm the blind-spot system shows no warning once the module is reinstalled and connected.
Then switch the truck off, align the lamp with the original locating points, press it evenly into position and refit the two factory mounting bolts. Do not overtighten.

Do the other side, refit any trim, then run a final road-light check.
Common Issues and Solutions
A BLIS warning appears. Recheck that the factory module went back on the correct side and is plugged into its original connector. A module fitted to the wrong side will light the dash.
Brake and turn functions are swapped. Recheck the brake/turn shared-wire connector choice against the reference images above before touching any wiring.
Hyperflash or a warning message. Confirm the load-resistor instruction for your configuration — the base and BLIS builds handle resistors differently.
One function does not work. Verify the main connector is fully seated and that the harness matches the build you bought.
The lamp will not seat. Check the locating pins and that the transferred module is sitting flat in its recess.
Condensation inside the tail light. Temperature differences can cause light condensation, which is normal. Once the light has been on for a while and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture clears on its own. It does not affect brightness, performance, or lifespan.
