Fits: 2022-2026 Honda Civic, all trims — Sedan, Hatchback and FL5 Type R.
Check your factory headlight type first:
- Factory LED cars are plug-and-play. Nothing extra needed.
- Factory halogen cars use the included adapter harness. It is in the box — find it before you start.
These steps cover both builds, White Reflector and Amber Reflector. Removal and fitting are identical; only the reflector colour differs.
One choice to make before you close the bumper: a plug controls the dynamic functions. Connected enables the driving dynamics and the flowing turn signal; disconnected disables both. Decide which you want in Step 8 — changing it later means opening the front end again.

Wire Colours in This Kit
- Red — DRL
- Blue — running light
- White — low and high beam
The kit also separates the high-mounted light plugs from the low-profile light plugs. Match your trim before powering the lamp.
Before You Start
- Park on level ground, switch off, and disconnect the negative battery terminal while handling wiring.
- Keep bumper and liner hardware organised by side and position.
- Use masking tape around painted bumper and fender edges.
- Do not put dielectric or weather-sealing grease on connectors or sockets.
- Leave the bumper and liners loose until the beam and DRL tests pass.
Required Tools
- Trim removal tool or panel clip tool
- Metric socket and ratchet set
- Phillips and flat screwdrivers
- Masking tape and clean microfiber towels
- Electrical tape and zip ties for the supplied harnesses
- A flat wall for beam aiming, and a helper for the function tests
Part 1: Remove the Factory Headlights
Step 1: Prepare the Front End
Park on level ground, switch off, and protect the bumper and fender edges with tape or clean towels.
Step 2: Open the Access Points
Remove the upper covers, bumper clips, wheel-liner fasteners, undertray clips and bumper-side retainers you need — and only those.
Step 3: Support the Bumper
If the bumper cover has to be loosened, support it so it does not hang from its wiring or scratch the paint.
Step 4: Disconnect
Press each lock tab and pull on the connector body, not on the wires.
Step 5: Remove the Retainers
Keep the bolts, clips, brackets and spacers organised by side and position.
Step 6: Remove the Headlights
Slide each assembly out along its locating tabs. If it resists, stop and look for a hidden fastener rather than pulling harder.
Part 2: Install the New Headlights
Step 7: Compare Before Mounting
Set the old and new assembly side by side. Transfer a bracket, cap, seal, module or bulb only where the factory lamp clearly carries a part the new one does not.
Step 8: Connect, and Set the Dynamic Plug
Match each supplied connector to the corresponding vehicle connector and confirm the lock tab clicks home. On a halogen-trim car, fit the included adapter harness — do not try to plug straight in.
Then set the dynamic plug: connect it to enable the driving dynamics and flowing turn signal, or leave it disconnected to disable both.
Step 9: Secure the Wiring
Fasten the adapters, decoders, fuse taps and any extra harness length away from radiator support edges, bumper brackets, fans, belts and heat sources.
Step 10: Seat and Fasten
Align the tabs and body gaps, then refit the original retainers evenly without overtightening plastic mounts.
Step 11: Test Before the Trim Goes Back
- Low beam and high beam on both sides.
- DRL, running light, parking and position lights.
- The high-beam assist lamp.
- Left and right turn signals, hazards, side markers if equipped.
- Startup and dynamic mode, if you connected the dynamic plug.
- Cycle the ignition twice and confirm no flicker, warning message, hyperflash or dead side.
- If a fuse tap was used, confirm it is in the correct fuse position and secured before closing the fuse box.
Part 3: Set the Beam Aim, Then Reassemble
Identify the vertical and horizontal adjusters before the bumper is fully back on. Park square to a flat wall about 25 feet away on level ground, mark the height of each beam centre, and bring the cut-off line level and even across both sides. A projector aimed too high is worse for oncoming traffic than the lamp it replaced.
Then refit the bumper covers, liners, clips and trim panels, confirming no wire is stretched or pinched.
Common Issues and Solutions
The flowing turn signal does not run. The dynamic plug from Step 8 is disconnected. That is a setting, not a fault.
Neither headlight works on a halogen-trim car. The included adapter harness is not fitted.
One headlight does not turn on. Recheck the main connector, the adapter harness, the fuse tap if used, and the ground.
Swap test. If a headlight still does not work, swap the left and right units to find out whether the issue is the light or the car's wiring.
DRL or turn signal does not work. Confirm the DRL/turn harness or ACC connection matches your trim — high-mounted and low-profile plugs are not interchangeable.
Warning, flicker or hyperflash. Recheck the decoder, resistor or trim-specific adapter before adding any universal part.
Beam pattern is too high, low or uneven. Re-seat the lamp and confirm every retainer is tight, then adjust the vertical and horizontal aimers.
Condensation inside the headlight. Temperature differences can cause light condensation, which is normal. Once the light has been on for a while and the internal temperature stabilizes, the moisture clears on its own. It does not affect brightness, performance, or lifespan.
